Started from a very humble beginning, Dr. Phu Tran came to the United States from Vietnam as an immigrant in 1990. After arriving to this blessed land of America, he saw an opportunity to pursue his interest and embrace his dream to become a great caregiver.
From scratch he worked his way through various jobs to pay for his schooling, including heavy-labor work under rough conditions. Working side-by-side with the blue-collar folks, he knows the common injuries that could happen in the work place and job related stress that could result from duress and high-pressure environment. Since that time, Dr. Tran relentlessly followed his career path that has rooted in his passion for providing healthcare to people.
The path to his dream began when Dr. Tran entered University of California at Davis where he studied Biochemistry in 1995. Here, Dr. Tran acquired the knowledge of human physiology and learned about Western Medicine. Launching from that understanding, he signed on to Life West Chiropractic College where he found the wonderful healing power of Chiropractic. As amazing as Chiropractic can be, its power limits within the symptoms caused by muscular or skeletal pain. Dr. Tran augmented his skills set by entering Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at Five Branches Institute in Santa Cruz, California where he learned the art of ancient Eastern Medicine through Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology.
Typical pain caused not only by over-exertion of the body, but also by stressful conditions. Musculoskeletal structure displacement, tissue inflammatory rupture, and intense stress on the nervous system - any of these could bring about extreme pain and suffering that affects our daily lives. Fortunately, these life-limiting ailments can be corrected by applying proper Chiropractic and Acupuncture techniques and treatment. With the combined knowledge of Eastern and Western medicine culminated through years of training, Dr. Tran uniquely qualifies as an expert in understanding the root causes of pain and aches. Applying these techniques, most pain resulted from auto accidents, work stress, and sports injuries can be completely removed after a duration of treatment.
Living an active life, Dr. Tran enjoys many types of sports and knows the severe nature of sports injuries. As a martial arts instructor at a local Vovinam Academy, Dr. Tran worked with many people who got hurt by mishaps in games and competition. He has treated many sports-related injuries as a certified Integrative Sports Medicine doctor.
Dr. Tran started his practice by treating people regardless of their financial circumstances. Many came to his office without health insurance or a means to pay; he helped them reclaim their normal lives. His clientele has sprung from a referral network primarily of those who benefited from his service. Presently, Dr. Tran provides health care and service to his patients personally at the San Jose office.
Dr. Tran's passion in healing people drives him in his accomplishments and allows him to excel in his career as a competent healthcare provider.
